Our mission at Tracy Photography Club is to provide community education programs and services to enhance our artistic community and the opportunity for members with a wide range of photographic experience and interest to come together regularly to share, learn and develop skills in an environment that fosters and encourages the growth of artistic vision and technical excellence.
At our heart, we are more than just a photography club; we are a community of passionate artists who believe in the transformative power of education. Our mission is simple yet profound: to foster a love for photography and empower individuals to master this captivating art form. The Tracy Photography Club is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
Education First: We place education at the forefront of our endeavors. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced photographer, our club offers a rich array of classes, workshops, and learning opportunities. From technical skills to creative vision, we cover it all.
Collaboration with the City of Tracy art program: As proud partners of the local city art education program, we extend our reach to aspiring photographers of all ages. Through this collaboration, we offer accessible and engaging photography classes that cater to diverse interests and skill levels.
Investing in Our Members: We believe that learning should be a two-way street. That’s why we encourage our members to invest in their education. By reimbursing dues and fees for classes taken, we empower our community to continually expand their knowledge. It’s a cycle of growth that benefits everyone involved.
Skill Enhancement: Our classes cover everything from composition techniques to post-processing wizardry. Whether you want to capture breathtaking landscapes or intimate portraits, we’ve got you covered.
Networking and Inspiration: Beyond technical skills, our club provides a space for networking, collaboration, and inspiration. Connect with fellow photographers, share ideas, and ignite your creativity.
Paying It Forward: Our unique model encourages members to give back. Those who benefit from our educational programs return as instructors, passing on their expertise to others. It’s a beautiful cycle of mentorship and community building.
Join us on this photographic journey—where learning, creativity, and camaraderie flourish. Together, we’ll capture moments that last a lifetime.
The Tracy Camera Club meets regularly on the second Wednesday of most months (February through November).
We are a group of photographers who desire to improve our photographic talent. The highlight of our monthly meetings is the judging which is done in a friendly and fun atmosphere. The club appeals to all levels of ability from beginner to advanced photographers, and our members range from youth to seniors.
We are made up of members arranged in 3 groups; B (Beginner), A (Advanced), AA (Top Level). Advancement to the next level is based on accumulated points, and each group is judged separately.
The board is made of volunteers and elected members who want to help run the club. Let the president know before the end of the year if you are interested in holding a board position the following year.
